Christy Straw, Is an air force brat that was raised in Germany. She is now one of the driving forces behind the growing farm. For Years she was a stay at home Mom. Now she is busier then ever with a job off the farm as well as a work horse on the farm. She not only runs the household but she handles many of the day to day operations on the farm as well. She takes care of all the bottle babies that come into the programs and plays nursemaid to all the births that happen on the farm. For extra income she finds enough time to take care of the Farm shop for everything that she makes. From Fiber Processing to cheese and soap making Christy never seems to stop.

RJ is Christy's 22 year old Son. While RJ has always been hands on around the farm, since graduating High School he has taken on the role of horse trainer to the many horses that call the farm home. He also handles the day to day when Christy is at work. He helps with all the animal rescues and has spent the night in the barn so many times he has lost track.
RJ was actually the force in changing the coarse of the farm. In the early months of 2011 he entered a contest and won a small flock of Angora Goats. Since then he has branched out and added sheep to his flock.
As RJ grows into man, he looks to make a living roping, riding and training horse. He has had his own horse since Christmas of 2009 and he has done everything for the horse from training him to ride to teaching him to Calf Rope, team rope and Goat tie in the rodeos. They have more then 15 titles to their names and he has now started training horses for other people as well as working with Christy's Mustangs. In 2019 Along with Coop winning CRRA Calf roping horse of the year, The Straw Family Farm put out two roping horses that carry our brand and both were nominated for Horse of the year honors in their divisions and bringing home the title.
