Life on the Farm with RJ
Ag in the Classroom Series

As many of you know my 94 year old Granny passed away in Feb. of 2015.  To both her and my Grandfather "Education is Everything."  So to honor her in a positive way and to make sure her words weren't lost on us, we have come up with this 12 lesson series that will help children learn about our real life farm .

Each Lesson Plan has been prepared by Oklahoma Ag in the Class Room Program and each have several different activities for different subjects and grade levels.  Most even include Vocab words.  All lesson plans and worksheets are free to copy, reproduce and use.  Included with each lesson is a short video with an inside look into our working farm and our way of life.  We hope these lessons will not only put a face on Agriculture and the lessons we teach but we hope to do it in a way that can relate to kids while trying to get them interested in their world around them.

By clicking on the link to the "complete Lesson plan" you will get a full break down of each lesson and many different lessons that can lead off this one video.  As well as information on Common Core activities and Academic Standards.

If you are interested in our School Farm visit Program the cost is $3.00 per a child and ask that at least 3 classes in your school take part.  This helps cover the cost of gas and supplies of the three annual visits we make to bring activities to the class.  If there is anything we can help with or if you have questions, please feel free to contact Christy at farmontheprairie@gmail.com or call 918-640-4012
